The International Women’s Week at ICAR-NBPGR, New Delhi was celebrated with great enthusiasm from March 13-18, 2025, aligning with the global theme “FOR ALL WOMEN AND GIRLS: RIGHTS. EQUALITY. EMPOWERMENT.” The institute takes pride in its impressive female workforce, which makes up approximately 40% of its staff.Organized by the Women Welfare Committee under the auspices of the Bureau, the week’s focus was on empowerment through health and well-being. The week kicked off on March 13, 2025, with an engaging session by Ms. Charu Agarwal, a Psychologist, Art Therapist, and Clinical Hypnotherapist, who shared valuable insights on managing stress and achieving a healthy work-life balance. The session provided new perspectives and practical tools to help employees cope with daily stress and create a more balanced life.On March 17, 2025, Dr. Rachna Jindal, Senior Consultant and Director of Jindal Medical Centre, Ghaziabad, delivered an important talk on the physical health challenges in today’s world. She emphasized the growing concerns related to sedentary lifestyles and stressed the importance of regular health check-ups, physical activity, and maintaining a balanced diet to counteract the rise in health issues associated with present lifestyle.The week concluded with a free health check-up camp on March 18, 2025, generously organized in collaboration with RLKC Hospital and Metro Heart Institute, offering employees valuable health services and assessments.The employees actively participated in all the events, reflecting the success of the week and the institute’s commitment to promoting health, wellness, and gender equality.
