ICAR-NBPGR, New Delhi transferred the technology of buckwheat (Fagopyrum tataricum) variety Him Phaphra to Krishi Vikas Sahakari Smiti Ltd., Gurugram through Agrinnovate India Ltd. This variety has high seed yield and rich in protein content with 12q/ha and 13%, respectively. ICAR-NBPGR Regional Station Shimla has developed this variety. A MoU was signed on 14th October 2024 by Dr. Gyanendra Pratap Singh, Director, ICAR-NBPGR, New Delhi; Dr. Deepa Beniwal, Assistant Business Development Manager, Krishi Vikas Sahakari Samiti Ltd., Gurugram and Dr. Praveen Malik, CEO, Agrinnovate India Ltd., New Delhi at Dr. H.B. Singh Committee Room, ICAR-NBPGR, New Delhi. This technology transfer by ICAR-NBPGR is a step towards exploitation of this climate resilient super food crop for livelihood security of ever-increasing population. On this occasion, Head of the Divisions, Officer In-charges of various Units, Nodal Officer, PME Cell, Chief Administrative Officer (Senior Grade) and Senior Finance & Account Officer from ICAR-NBPGR, Ms. Shivangi Agarwal from Krishi Vikas Sahakari Smiti Ltd., Gurugram, and Mr. Ashaveer S.
