Salient Achievements

Dr Vijay Singh Meena has significantly contributed in field of Horticulture in term of genetic resources management including post-harvest management particularly of arid fruits crops. He is associated in development of process & design (03) development of novel of products of arid fruits (02)Protected cultivation technologies (05) and identification & registration of genetic stock(08). He has significantly contributed in establishment of field gene bank of underutilised and neglected perennial plant species at Issapur farm, NBPGR, Delhi and Management Agri- Horticultural germplasm (43000 germplasm under MTS &453 under Field Gene Bank) at regional station Jodhpur (Raj).Dr Meena has published more than 60 research articles in national and international repute journals and authored two book, 03 technical bulletins, 12 book chapter, 09 folder and 25 popular articles. He has organised 10 awarness programme on PGR. He is associated in 04Ph.D students guidance at AU, Jodhpur& IARI, Delhi besides having teaching experience of IARI Faculty. He is associated in conducting 4 EDP, 10 Field days, 10Tv talk and 10 radio talks. He is editorial member of two journals, recipient of three young scientist award conferred by professional societies apart from delivering key note addresses.
