Salient Achievements

  1. Developed core set and trait specific reference set of sesame crop germplasm.
  2. Identified donors for different yield contributing traits, water logging and drought tolerance, biotic stress tolerance like phyllody and dry root rot.
  3. Identified Rapeseed-mustard germplasm lines for different agro-morphological traits and donor for resistant to white rust disease, powdery mildew that will be use full for development of new varieties.
  4. Developed Organic production packages for finger millet and barnyard millet for Uttarakhand hills which has economic importance under rain fed situations of hills and provides full utilization of locally available resources. This is now Recommended Package of Practices for hills of Uttarakhand and adapted by the farmers in a significant area
