Salient Achievements

Cloned and characterized FAD2 and FAE1 genes of Indian mustard and Crambe species. Designed genic-SSRs from assembled sequences of transcriptome data of developing seeds of Indian mustard. Generated genomic/genetic resources in Linseed, Tinospora and Pigeon pea. Identified Indian mustard line showing robust root trait in seedling grown under saline conditions.
