Salient Achievements

  • Conducted over ten explorations in Northeastern Hill Region (NEHR) collecting around 490 germplasm accessions of agri-horticultural crops.
  • Characterized over 15,000rice accessions and uploaded characterized data to the gene bank database.
  • Handled five In-House projects as PI pertaining to collection, conservation, characterization and evaluation of crops belonging to agriculture, horticulture & potential crop groups.
  • Completed three projects on Momordica spp, Musa spp and edible aroids, funded bycompetitive grants from DBT & DST.
  • Worked as rice germplasm curator from September 2021 to November 2023 at ICAR-NBPGR New Delhi.
  • Acted as Officer In-charge of NBPGR Regional Station Shillong from 2018 to 2021
