Salient Achievements

  • Research experience of over 24 years in the area of quality evaluation of economically important medicinal and aromatic plants germplasm for bioactive compounds 
  • Identified superior germplasm lines for quality traits in Ocimum species, Mucuna pruriens, Andrographis paniculata,  Alpinia species, Kaempferia galanga, Bacopa monierri, Trigonella etc.
  • Identified chemotypes and trait specific germplasm in different medicinal and aromatic plants 
  • Registered nine unique genetic stocks for quality traits in different medicinal and aromatic plants 
  • Developed/modified analytical methods for evaluation of bioactive compounds in MAPs
  • Teaching faculty of Plant Genetic Resources of IARI, New Delhi
