ICAR-NBPGR, New Delhi Transferred the Technology of 64K SNP Chip of Grain Amaranth to Imperial Life Sciences Pvt. Ltd., Gurugram through Agrinnovate India Ltd.

ICAR-NBPGR, New Delhi transferred the technology of 64K SNP Chip of Grain Amaranth to Imperial Life Sciences Pvt. Ltd., Gurugram through Agrinnovate India Ltd. This genome-wide Amaranth 64K SNP chip is based on a high-quality reference sequence of the Amaranthus hypochondriacus genome and can be used for diverse applications, including genetic mapping, molecular core development, association mapping, haplotyping, molecular breeding, and evolutionary relationship studies in Amaranthus.  This 64K SNP chip of grain amaranth is developed by Dr. Rakesh Singh, Pr. Scientist & Head, Division of Genomic Resources and team. A MoU was signed and exchanged on 15th April 2025 between Dr. Gyanendra Pratap Singh, Director, ICAR-NBPGR, New Delhi and a team from Imperial Life Sciences Pvt. Ltd., Gurugram including Mr. Deepak Sharma, Business Head, Mr. Debananda Sahu, Chief Financial Officer and Dr. Amit Singh, Technical Sales Manager, and Dr. Praveen Malik, CEO, Agrinnovate India Ltd., New Delhi at Dr. H.B. Singh Committee Room, ICAR-NBPGR, New Delhi. Institute Technology Management Unit, ICAR-NBPGR organized the event. On this occasion, Head of the Divisions, Officer In-charges of various Units, Nodal Officer, PME Cell, Chief Administrative Officer (Senior Grade) and Senior Finance & Account Officer from ICAR-NBPGR, were also present.  Few glimpses of the event are:
